Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City (KCHBA)

The Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City is the voice of the housing industry and the source for housing information. Comprising more than 1,000 member companies, the HBA represents an industry that contributes approximately $2.5 billion to the Kansas City economy and supports more than 36,000 jobs in the Greater Kansas City metropolitan area.


National Association of Home Builders (NAHB)

The National Association of Home Builders is a Washington, DC-based trade association that is a federation of more than 800 state and local associations. Its mission is to enhance the climate for housing and the building industry. Chief among its goals is providing and expanding opportunities for all consumers to have safe, decent and affordable housing. In 2002, NAHB's builder members will construct about 80 percent of all new housing in America, making housing one of the largest and most powerful engines of economic growth in the country.


Graduate Master Builder (GMB)

GMB is a program exclusively designed for advanced, experienced builders and remodelers. GMB courses are in-depth, focusing on the most timely and relevant issues facing the industry. There are two ways to qualify for the GMB designation. Builders must have (1) CGB or CGR certification, or (2) successfully completed three CGB courses in addition to having 10 years experience in the building business, five of which must be management related.
